African Bush Camps Opens New Family-Friendly Lodge in Botswana

After a year of waiting, African Bush Camps, with its partners in Botswana, has been awarded the permits and licences allowing it to open its latest camp, Khwai Bush Camp, on the eastern border of the Moremi Game Reserve.

Part of the family-friendly collection of African Bush Camps, Khwai Bush Camp is built on the banks of the Khwai River, overlooking the Moremi Game Reserve and nestled in a forest of sycamore and leadwood trees.

It is African Bush Camps’ dedicated family camp in the Khwai region and comprises four standard and two family chalets, with the emphasis being on family-friendly experiences, the camp accepts children of all ages.

Guests can enjoy spacious and comfortable thatched accommodation, with private en-suite bathrooms with views over the permanent water source and beyond into the Moremi Game Reserve.

Facilities include a communal dining area, bar, lounge, fireplace, a bar and a complimentary laundry service.

Activities include game drives, walking, bird watching, night drives, mokoro safaris (seasonal and when water levels permit), and cultural tours of local villages.

Guests can access the lodge either by road or air. Flight transfer time is 30 minutes from Maun or an hour from Kasane, and transfer time from the airstrip to the camp is 30 minutes.

To book the camp on an exclusive-use basis, a minimum of 12 guests are required.
