Wild Horizons Opens New Lodge on the Banks of the Zambezi

Wild Horizons recently opened its latest Victoria Falls property, the Old Drift Lodge, which is situated on the banks of the Zambezi River in Zimbabwe.

The lodge is just seven kilometres from the town of Victoria Falls and consists of ten double canvas suites and four family suites, all air-conditioned. Each suite has a private lounge, indoor and outdoor showers, plunge pool, star bed and an outdoor bath overlooking the Zambezi.

The main lodge area boasts 360-degree views, facing north on to the Zambezi, south to a waterhole.

Transfers to and from the lodge are by cruise boat and take 15 minutes from Victoria Falls.

Activities include morning and afternoon game drives, river safaris, guided walking safaris and guided tours of Victoria Falls accompanied by lunch at the Lookout Café.

Optional extra activities include selected spa treatments by a professional beauty therapist in the privacy of guests’ suites; Victoria Falls canopy tours; the Livingstone Island Experience; Chobe day trips; scenic helicopter flights and white water rafting.
