What you need to know

Zimbabwe enjoys a temperate climate. In the wet season (November – March), there are heavy afternoon showers. The dry season (April – October) is colder. Nights and mornings can drop to 5°C/41°F, but daytime temperatures are warmer with plenty of sunshine.

Zimbabwe is the ideal destination for the adventure seeker. From white water rafting and bungee jumping in Victoria Falls, to canoeing in Mana Pools or hiking in Hwange, the country’s diverse landscape and activity offering ensures a safari in this part of the world is like no other.

Most common wall sockets require 3 pin round or 3 square pin plugs. Lodges and bush camps run on generator and solar power supplies, therefore using inverter systems to provide a 220v power supply to tents and main lounge areas.

It is a requirement that all guests travelling to Zimbabwe be adequately covered by comprehensive travel insurance to cover all aspects of their holiday. International flights/ loss & theft/medical requirements/damage and cancellation etc. We would recommend guests organise travel insurance in home country. Sense of Africa is covered by comprehensive liability insurance for up to 20 million Botswana pula per incident.
